Starr Insurance Companies Announces Offers to Members of the Academy of Model Aeronautics

Starr Insurance Companies today announced an agreement with the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) to offer its members insurance coverage for the commercial use of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), also known as drones.

“The AMA has been an originator of training resources for the UAS community and we are pleased to be able to partner with the AMA and provide its members with UAS insurance through the Harry A. Koch agency,” stated Jim Anderson, senior vice president, aviation. “The UAS market is growing rapidly and many of the existing members of the AMA will need a quick and cost-effective insurance solution.”
