London, UK – 3 September, 2026 – Goalhanger and global investment and insurance company Starr have partnered to launch The Risk Briefing, a new executive thought leadership series exploring the geopolitical developments reshaping risk for organisations around the world. The partnership builds on Starr’s leading role in specialty insurance, creating a new platform to bring its expertise and perspective to the wider forces shaping clients’ businesses and the risks they face.
Hosted at the iconic Lloyd's of London, the invitation-only series has been created exclusively for Starr’s brokers, clients and partners. The first event will take place on 24 September 2026, with further editions planned for 2027.
Developed in collaboration with The Rest Is Politics and The Rest Is Politics US, the series will also feature leading voices from across the Goalhanger network, bringing together some of the UK's most influential political commentators, journalists and experts for frank, informed conversations designed for senior business leaders.
At a time of growing geopolitical tension, shifting global power, conflict and economic uncertainty, businesses are navigating an increasingly complex and interconnected world. The Risk Briefing will look beyond the headlines to examine the forces reshaping the global order, from changing alliances and political disruption to evolving relationships between major powers and explore what they mean for business, markets, society and risk.
Each event has been designed as a closed-door, off-the-record forum for the insurance market, with guests able to attend live at Lloyd’s or join globally online, creating the conditions for open discussion, fresh perspectives and meaningful dialogue.
Tom Whiter, General Manager - Politics & Current Affairs at Goalhanger, said: "The Risk Briefing is a natural extension of what Goalhanger does every day through our podcasts, helping audiences understand the political and geopolitical forces shaping the world around them.
